256 vs 512: The GPU Memory Wars

PureOverclock runs some tests to find out if 512MB on board graphics memory is all that much faster than 256MB. Card makers are slapping as much memory as they can on these boards and with good reason, while current titles aren’t making full use of it you can bet much more texture-rich titles are on their way.
