AIS 12.1″ Rugged Vehicle Computer is too tough for the family sedan

Industrial vehicles, and just about any vehicle the sees a whole lot of wear and tear (and perhaps bombings?), typically need something a little more ruggedized than an iPad…interestingly enough there are companies that cater to such rough and tumble environments. The AIS Rugged Vehicle Computer sports a 12.1″ touch screen housed in an all aluminum casing. The company touts its LCD as sporting a high resolution but at 1024×768 it’s not exactly giving you lots of real estate. Regardless the Intel Celeron M 575 processor, 1GB of DDR2 memory, and 802.11b/g/n wireless included in the extra durable chassis should be more than enough for those screen smudging tasks you have in mind.
