AMD ATI FirePro V9800 offers EyeFinity for the professional

AMD has announced its new ATI FirePro V9800 graphics card for professional applications. The board is designed for all of that no-nonsense 3D modeling and GPU enhanced programs that are just screaming for as much processing power as possible. The board is capable of outputting to six displays through Mini DisplayPorts using the company’s EyeFinity technology allowing for combined massive resolutions.

The FirePro V9800 sports 1600 Stream Processors (a pro level version of the dual GPU ATI Radeon HD 5970) and makes fine use of 4GB of on board memory which comes in very handy when running those fancy programs you like to run especially at high resolutions and various anti-aliasing and filtering levels. As far as standards support goes you can expect DirectX 11, OpenCL, and DirectCompute compatibility and CrossFire Pro support for even more pixel pumping power. Pricing? Well you’ll probably want to let your boss worry about that.
