AMD’s latest CPU launch fills in the gaps

An under-served market leads to all sorts of opportunities for somebody to swoop in and grab themselves a sizable chunk of any industry which is exactly what AMD did when they saw some gaps in the CPU market between the mid-range and insanely high end processor choices so they rolled out a handful of new chips which include the Phenom II X4 970 Black Edition, that’s left multiplier unlocked for enthusiast fun, as well as the Phenom II X6 1075T which is clearly designed for multi-threaded applications as indicated by its 6 core design. They aren’t anything you haven’t seen before, performance wise, but at least you have plenty more options now.
