ASRock H55DE3 Motherboard lets you upgrade on the cheap

Getting your PC up to date with a little something more modern tends to be very expensive when a new platform comes around, thankfully some patience can net you a speedy system (or additional systems) at a much lower price of entry.

The ASRock H55DE3 Motherboard allows you to slot in your choice of an Intel Core i3, i5, or i7 CPU and provides the necessary video ports for those CPUs sporting on-chip graphics all at an inexpensive price tag. BCCHardware has a look:

Like many other motherboards, the H55DE3 from ASRock uses a completely passive cooling solution that seems to work very well – especially now that the chipset has fewer responsibilities that the P45 generation.  Still, if you plan on doing any extreme overclocking you will probably want to beef up the cooling – at the very least add a fan to create airflow over the heatsink.  The CPU socket area is well cleared out and you won’t have any issues installing aftermarket cooling on this board.

Plenty of space for a beefy cooler which you just might need since it has some decent overclocking capabilities.
