The Inquirer has details on a die shrink in the works for ATI’s R580 GPU. The chip found in their X1900 series of cards are currently made with a 90nm process while the newer R580+ version will come in at 80nm making them smaller which should reduce costs and, potentially, make for a cooler running chip.
