Biostar TZ68K+ brings performance on the cheap

The Biostar TZ68K+ proves that high performance platforms don’t have to cost you an arm and a leg. The motherboard uses Intel’s Z68 chipset, which supports the company’s LGA1155 processors, and it’s somewhat barebones on the feature front with two PCIe X16 slots (one full x16 and one running at X4)  bringing in the bulk of your expansion flexibility and only two SATA 6G slots for your high speed solid state drives to be happy in, although they do have four more SATA 3G ports for your slower drives, and a pair of external USB 3.0 ports for your forward looking peripherals. While it doesn’t go all out on the expansion front, which you’d expect from a budget model, it is quite capable at pushing whatever chip you toss at it so there’s no fear of getting stuck with a board that doesn’t let you overclock effectively which used to be a problem with lower priced options.
