Broadband in the TV Band

The FCC is considering opening up portions of unused TV-band frequencies in rural areas for use as wireless broadband frequencies according to Xchange. I don’t know how well a “smart radio” system would work but once TV station frequencies are set they usually don’t change so this may work out quite well.
