CoolIT Freezone Elite v2 Thermoelectric CPU Cooler keeps the temps low

There was an era when thermoelectric cooling was somewhat popular with the enthusiast crowd because of its ability to drastically lower temperatures but their downside was a requirement for some massive cooling on the “hot side” of the TEC.

CoolIT’s Freezone Elite v2 Thermoelectric CPU Cooler harnesses a TEC and watercooling setup in a pre-assembled unit for some impressive cooling results. PureOC has the review:

The Freezone Elite v2 is a pre-assembled thermoelectric water-chilled cooling kit for your processor.  A closed water loop, it consists of a CPU water block, pump, TEC units, heat exchanger, and fan.  The whole unit is controlled by the intelligent software via the MTEC (control center) module, which functions to maintain the chilled coolant at preset temperatures, even down to sub-ambient in some instances.

It’s certainly a beefy way to deal with CPU heat output.
