Disk Speed Limit Found, in Theory

Researchers and colleagues at Stanford University think they’ve found the limit at which data can be written to magnetic disks according to Yahoo News. Fancy mathematics and particle accelerators, doesn’t get much better than this. Of course there isn’t much to worry about, if drive makers ever reach that performance ceiling RAID solutions could be an option.
