ECS P55H-AK enjoys more lanes than most

Intel’s P55 chipset offers a dizzying array of advanced features but in order to bring its costs down, and keep it from competing with its bigger brother the X58, they cut out a few PCI Express lanes which are important for those with Multi-GPU dreams. In comes the ECS P55H-AK which takes the budget minded chip and tags an NVIDIA nForce 200 switch chip which offers an extra 32 PCIe lanes for plenty of extra bandwidth possibilities. Sure it won’t match the six-cores offered by the higher end boards but at its price range and with its overclocking features and extra PCIe lanes it’s definitely a performer.
