The HyperTransport Consortium has approved version 2.0 of their HyperTransport standard. The technology, which allows chips to communicate with each other at high speeds, currently allows up to 12.8GB/s of bandwidth, the new standard allows up to 20GB/s. ZDNet covers it a bit more.
