Solid State Drives have been beneficial to general PC usage but bandwidth intensive tasks, such as database querying, requires a heftier set of hardware in order to work their magic even faster. Fusion-io’s PCI Express based storage cards offer an extreme amount of bandwidth and input/output operations per second, with an appropriate price tag to boot, that allows for impressive speed gains in previously slow computing segments. The company has now launched its ioMemory Module which can double the storage capacity of their existing PCIe card lineup offering up to 1.28TB of super speedy flash memory good-ness.
