G.Skill Phoenix Pro doesn’t have time to wait around

Solid State Drives can’t be judged by their pretty box art nor can you expect any sort of reference design to base expectations on so digging into the details is about the only way to know which models are worth it. The new G.Skill Phoenix Pro SSDs come out of nowhere and perch themselves at the top of the performance charts with extremely impressive results for both the 120GB and 40GB versions when, traditionally, lower capacity drives have fallen behind in the performance race by quite a bit. So if you’re in the market for a drive that manages 230MB/s read speeds and 205MB/s write speeds well you don’t have to look much further.
