Gigabyte GA-X58-UD9 is prepped for action

There has been a trend at the top of the motherboard market which sees a number of high priced models which push every conceivable barrier in the race to have the most powerful PC possible. The Gigabyte GA-X58-UD9 motherboard comes in at a wallet busting $700 US MSRP which is quite a bit for anything outside of the dual socket market but this board brings with it 7 PCIe x16 slots (4 running at x16, 3 running at x8) which makes some monstrous video card multi-GPU setups possible and a fortified power distribution design which means you’ll get a hefty CPU overclock if you’re into that sort of thing…which, lets face it, you had better be if you’re shelling out this much cash for a board.
