HIS Radeon 6970 ICEQ Mix keeps it breezy

Our disdain for reference cooling designs goes far back when you consider that they’re designed to do just an adequate job which just isn’t enough if you plan on pushing things to the limit or you want something that doesn’t sound like a jet engine when things get a little complex.

HIS has put together yet another compelling package with their Radeon 6970 IceQ Mix graphics card with a cooling solution that keeps temperatures lower than the competition as well as an added LUCID Hydra chip that should, in theory, allow it to work with competing graphics solutions to improve graphics performance but turns out to be quite the gimmick instead.
