Infineon Technologies is spending $1 billion to expand its Richmond, Virginia memory manufacturing plant according to CNET News. The expansion will give it the capability to handle 300mm wafers which will increase output. Good thing as current memory trends, ie. very low supply vs high demand, would cripple industries moving forward.
