The number of features being grafted on to gadgets is continuously growing and while they don’t all make sense there’s a number of improvements that are relevant to people’s interest.

JVC has announced their new Everio GZ-HM550 HD camcorder which sports a 10.6 megapixel sensor, 1920×1080 HD recording support, 32GB of on board storage and an SDHC card slot for even more storage capability.

Its geo-tagging capability should allow for even better cataloging functionality and, if you’re so inclined, sharing via Google Earth while its built-in Bluetooth capability lets you control the camera with a smart-phone or simply pipe in your voice with a BT headset.

The camcorder will set you back $799 at launch and is shipping now.
