Lian Li has just released a USB 3.0 hard drive/solid-state drive enclosure, so if you’ve been itching for a home for an external drive that will do justice to those break-neck data transfer speeds, read on…
The computer casemaker’s EX-10Q, a $30, all-aluminum enclosure that supports 2.5-inch SATA I and II drives, can help snag data at speeds of up to 5 Gbps, provided that your PC supports the USB 3.0 spec. No AC adapter required.
Lian Li’s EX-10Q is available in four colors: black, silver, blue and the fetching red one pictured above. Dimensions are a svelte 75mm wide by 12mm high and 130mm deep. A blue LED rounds out the package.
Judging by how the company touts its “time-to-market ability” in its announcement, the wait for the EX-10Q will be a short one. It should be arriving at your favorite computer parts retailer any day now.
