Designtechnica has the details on Plextor’s newest drives, the PX-712SA and PX-712A DVD±R/RW with the former supporting SerialATA connections and the latter regular old ATA. These drives sport 12X DVD+R and 8X DVD-R writing speeds as well as 4X DVD+RW and 4X DVD-RW rewriting which will cut down on burn times quite a bit.
