SP2-Like Fixes for other MS OS'?

eWeek has a few interesting rumors that may have Microsoft porting some of its security enhancements in its upcoming Windows XP Service Pack 2 to its other current OS’ and may go back and move those fixes to Windows 2000 and all the way back to Windows 98. Heavy on rumors but it would be a great security boost for the web, now if only people would patch in a timely manner.
