Remember when I awarded the Belkin’s Grip Vue case (clear) for the iPhone 4 three out of five stars? Well, I’m going to have to take one of those stars back.
Over the past few days I noticed that the case was looking a little dingy. Wiping it clean didn’t help. It wasn’t until I peeled off the case that the sad truth was revealed: Yellowing had occurred.
For comparison’s sake, take a look at the picture I took today (above) with the fresh-out-of the box image from two weeks ago (below). Whereas you can plainly see the white insert through the case when it was new, today it’s starting to resemble the headlamp covers on an old, poorly maintained car. And it’s only been two weeks of normal use.
Disappointing. At least the iPhone 4 case market is beginning to fill out. Or I could just wait for my free iPhone 4 bumper. In any case, Belkin’s Grip Vue for the iPhone 4 is looking less and less like a good buy.
