Windows 7 SP1 Detailed…sort of

Businesses dare not deploy a whole new operating system until they know the bulk of their hardware and software will run, in a stable fashion, on the fancy newly update OS…thus the wait until at least Service Pack 1 rolls around.

Microsoft has deemed that line of thinking silly so they’ll be rolling out a Service Pack for Windows 7 and Server 2008 R2…sometime. A Service Pack in name only it’d appear as the company has no plans to make any major additions to the operating systems and will simply be packing together already released patches into a simple to deploy installer.

As of yet there’s no known released date, hope you weren’t expecting anything ground breaking.
