InfoWorld writes of a few Ph.D students at the Queensland University of Technology in Australia finding a flaw in the 802.11b spec that could allow for wide spread outtages to occur over a wide area using any ordinary WiFi card attached to a PC if someone were so inclined to make use of the flaw. So far it’s vague on the details so it’s all a game of wait and see now.
