XFX Radeon HD 7970 Black Edition improves GPU cooling

XFX’s Radeon HD 7970 Black Edition video card didn’t have many options when it came time to improving on an already fast and powerful gaming option so they did the only sensible thing… upgraded its cooling solution and increased clock speeds. The old reference cooler is out in favor of a custom dual fan cooler that does a good job of lowering temperatures and the already cool running Radeon HD 7970. If speed is more of your thing you’ll be happy to know that the card comes clocked at 1000MHz core/1425MHz memory which isn’t a huge bump when you take into account how over-clockable AMD’s new chip is but it’s a decent performance bump none-the-less.
